Ivy Schools Selected as Sole Kindergarten Operator at Tianjin Eco-city
Tianjin, China. On March 17, 2012, Ivy Group took part in a selection process for a joint partnership to build kindergartens with the Management Committee of Tianjin New Coastal Eco-city. After intense competition and strict inspections by the selection committee consisting of experts in various areas, Ivy Group was to selected among the major kindergartens operators to be awarded with the sole contract to operate kindergartens in Tianjin Eco-city.
Ivy MI Kindergarten is near the Tianjin Foreign Studies University and provides for an excellent living environment. The campus has 4,000 square meters of construction area designed with a European architectural style and will have 12 classrooms. The Eco-city campus will put Ivy Schools education vision to provide a Multiple Intelligence based curriculum and bilingual education into practice. Besides focusing on safety, environmental awareness and providing an international education, the Ivy MI Kindergarten Eco-city campus will foster every child’s potential in an engaging, play-based and professional environment.

About Tianjin Eco-city
Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city is the 2nd flagship Government-to-Government project between Singapore and China after Suzhou Industrial Park. The project was mooted by then Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in April 2007, against the backdrop of rapid urbanisation and increasing global attention on the importance of sustainable development. On 18 November 2007, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao signed a Framework Agreement for Singapore and China to jointly develop Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city.
The Tianjin Eco-city's vision is to be "A thriving city which is socially harmonious, environmentally-friendly and resource-efficient – a model for sustainable development". This vision is underpinned by the concepts of "Three Harmonies" and "Three Abilities".
